Built To Last - Part 5

Where make these 10 values come up up from?

These 10 values come from the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:1-17 as mentioned earlier. Let do mention back to the 10 values against the Ten Commandments.

1. Exodus 20:1-3

Love the Godhead thy Supreme Being = the values of Loyalty

2. Exodus 20:4-6

Worship no other Gods = the values of Commitment

3. Exodus 20:7

Not to take God's name in conceited = the values of Respect

Not to be presumptuous, proper honour

4. Exodus 20:8, 10-11

Honour the Sabbath twenty-four hours = the values of Accountability

The 7th twenty-four hours is the twenty-four hours that Supreme Being have put aside for rest. It is during the Sabbath that you worship God, be connected back to God, studies to Him the events of the hebdomads and the things to come, and to hear from Supreme Being what you should make in the approaching six days.

5. Exodus 20:9

Six Days you shall labor and make all your work = the values of Hard Works

6. Exodus 20:12

Honours your father and female parent = the values of Family

7. Exodus 20:13

Not to perpetrate homicide = the values of Love

This mentions not to physical decease alone but also hate and resentment in your bosom when you seaport on unforgiveness. You can perpetrate homicide towards a individual in your head with wicked thoughts, emotions and words.

8. Exodus 20:14

Not to perpetrate criminal conversation = the values of Faithfulness

We have got to guard our minds. Adultery necessitates not begin with the physical. It begins with the head and the mobile eyes.

9. Exodus 20:15-16

Not to steal nor bear false witnesser = the values of Integrity/ Truthfulness

10. Exodus 20:17

Not to covet your neighbour's ownerships = the values of Generosity

The Ten Commandments are not the Rule of Measurement or Standards. If you look at it like a ruler, then you are like the ruler. It will be used to mensurate whether you are tantrum enough to measure up against the criteria set. But if you look at the spirit of the Ten Commandments, it is the very thing that volition last for eternity.
